Kaizer Chiefs Secure Fifth Signing for Season

Kaizer Chiefs have reportedly added a fifth signing ahead of the new season, aiming to bolster their squad after an intense transfer period. Chiefs have already confirmed four new additions, with a mix of defensive and attacking talent, as they look to strengthen their lineup.

Among the new recruits are defenders Bongani Sam, Fiacre Ntwari, and Rushwin Dortley. Although Dortley has been unveiled officially, he and his fellow defenders watched from the sidelines during Chiefs’ recent 4-0 defeat to Yanga SC in the Toyota Cup. Sam, joining early, was part of the squad’s trip to Turkey for pre-season preparations.

On the attacking front, former Mamelodi Sundowns forward Gaston Sirino joins Chiefs on a two-year deal, marking the first offensive signing in their line-up. However, Chiefs’ defensive overhaul appears ongoing, with reports linking them to Angolan international Inacio Miguel, a versatile right-footed defender from Petro de Luanda.

Although Chiefs have yet to confirm Miguel’s signing, rumours intensified when their X (Twitter) page hinted with a “Khosified” post, fueling speculation. If confirmed, Miguel could be the answer to Head Coach Nasreddine Nabi’s pursuit of defensive stability.
