Every year on the 27th of April, South Africans celebrate Freedom Day – a powerful reminder of our journey from oppression to democracy. It commemorates the first democratic elections held in 1994, when citizens of all races could vote for the first time. This day is not just a date in history; it’s a celebration of unity, human rights, and the resilience of a people who stood strong in the face of adversity.
