Whether you are ready or not, the Rapture is near, according to South African preacher Joshua Mhlakela.
Mhlakela’s claims about the return of Jesus Christ have made headlines worldwide, attracting both scepticism and belief.
In a video shared on the Cettwinz TV YouTube channel, Mhlakela declared that Jesus will return to Earth on 23 and 24 September 2025. Citing the Book of Revelation, he said this would mark Judgement Day.
“The Rapture is upon us. Whether you are ready or not,” Mhlakela proclaimed. “I saw Jesus sitting on His throne, and I could hear Him very loud and clear saying, ‘I am coming soon’.”
He added that Jesus told him: “On the 23rd and 24th of September 2025, I will come back to the Earth.” According to Mhlakela, the event will be announced by the Feast of Trumpets, signalling both the Rapture and Judgement Day.
The preacher is not alone in his predictions. Danie Botha, a South African singer-turned-preacher, has echoed similar claims, saying the Holy Spirit revealed the message to him.
In one of his YouTube sermons, Botha told followers: “Our departure point to the next destination is here. We are in the last days. After a service that morning, I walked into my house and switched on the TV. Before me appeared in big golden letters: Flight 923… You must be ready to depart.”
Both Mhlakela and Botha continue to use online platforms to share their message, insisting that believers should prepare for what they describe as the final days.
