Four suspects aged between 26 and 33 have been arrested in connection with the murder of a man in Sommerset Trust, Calcutta, on Saturday, 8 August.
Police received information about a man who had allegedly been assaulted by community members and rushed to hospital. On arrival, officers found the victim dead with multiple gunshot wounds.
An investigation led to the arrest of the four suspects later that day. They are expected to appear in the Mkhuhlu Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday 11 August 2026.
Police say more arrests cannot be ruled out as the investigation continues.
